Its that time of year again, these cooler crisp mornings mean that hot coffee is BACK baby….although I guess it never really left…
We’re teaming up with Ride with GPS again to host another RICHMOND edition of #coffeeoutside on Saturday, October 4th, at 9am. Meet us at the Forest Hill Park stone round house (the one beside the lake!!!) with your favorite coffee brewing kit, beans, grounds, water, filters…you know the dealio. We’re hoping to have a little fireplace ripping, bring a little firewood if you have any to spare!
If you’ve never been to a Coffee Outside before, we hope you can join us for this one! Basically, like minded folks get together to ride/run/hike/paddle in and make coffee together – OUTSIDE! We pick a favorite park space, tell everyone we know, and hope that they bring a friend.
If you’re missing part of a coffee kit, you’re in luck! Most of our Richmond pals are real sweet and they’ll probably share with you – but here’s what to consider packing with you:
-coffee beans and a grinder, or pre-grind at home
-water
-a camp stove, fuel for it – and a pot for boiling water
-your favorite coffee brewing device (aeropress, pour over, cowboy coffee – it all works!)
If you’re extra, you’ll bring a little something to share – I like to bake treats or bring a shareable snack. But no pressure, we hope you can simply join in the fun!

Like last year, RWGPS partnered up with some high level sick pups to pass out prizes to each participating city…ranging from cool Miir Coffee Bean Canisters to delicious Coava roasted beans to handy dandy water bottles to replace yer old n moldy ones – we have a box of cool goods to pass out.
When you arrive to the Stone Round House beside the lake at Forest Hill Park, fill out a slip of paper and enter the raffle! We’ll meet at 9am, and draw names for local goodies at 10am.
BUT WAIT! RWGPS has a much larger prize pack for everyone that RSVPs online – and you don’t have to be present to win that one! The button below is your ticket to the BIG prize packs for Int’l Coffee Outside celebration, so don’t forget to clicky below.
Hit us on the ‘gram if you have any questions, but grab a friend, ride down to Forest Hill Park, and join in! See you on October 4th!
